LINDA IKEJI, a big time blogger, how she made it to the top!!

After going through LINDA IKEJI’S story it was worthy motivating, so I decided to put more illustrations on it to serve as a guide to those of us on the same path with her not to Give Up, We Can! YOU CAN MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME THROUGH, JUST KEEP ON DON’T GIVE UP.
The popular name LINDA IKEJI had become a big name in the new age of INFORMATION COMMUNICATION {internet} the GLOBAL VILLAGE.  Linda Ikeji had faced her ugly moments, but she stood her ground to face the challenges.
She is the owner of the all mighty blog, lindaikeji.blogspot.com, one of the top most visited Nigerian entertainment news blog of all times. She is so popular now that her name has become an asset.

“She is so popular now and her name has become an asset”
“Linda Ikeji blog owner had been saddled with the task of taking care of herself and
Fending for her family at a tender age of 17”

When it comes to blogging, Linda Ikeji has climax the best even though she started out modeling. Unfortunately, as the saying goes that nothing good comes easy, so did Linda Ikeji had it rough as she was growing up. There were all sorts of challenges coming the way of the highest paid Nigerian blogger. But she would not give up and continue to persevere.
The talented Linda Ikeji blogspot blogger grew up from a very poor family with no silver, gold or wooden spoon in her mouth and of course nobody to turn to for help. Instead, men would want to take advantage of her alluring beauty to make advances at her. Linda would not give in; she had vowed that she preferred to die than become the object of a “dump site” in the hands of any man. So, she resorted to doing all sorts of menial jobs to make a living, from ushering to being a waitress at a bar, to modeling all in her bid to survive the hard economic hardship. She pressed on with the struggle.
At a time when the Linda Ikeji was in her second year at the University of Lagos in year 2000, she had taken to occasionally modeling to support her education. Growing up was even more difficult then. Sometimes, she would miss lectures, go to the bar between 1pm to 10pm to sell beer. In spite of her pitiable condition, she had that burning desire to excel. She would want to succeed through sheer hard work and on her own terms, rather than lose her dignity to any man.
When she was much younger, she wanted to become a journalist. That was her dream. When she was about 10 years old, she was already writing. She wrote a few fiction stories in her notebooks and gave a few people and they read and they said she was a good writer. She usually enjoyed watching newscasters, people doing interviews, she looked up to them so when she was about to go into the University of  Lagos, she put in for Mass Communication but she didn’t get that course, rather got English. So when she finished school, and had become a model and people knew her as a model, it was very difficult for her to go back being a journalist so she just moved on from there. Linda she discovered blogging in 2006. Incidentally, it was through www.bellanaija.blogspot.com. That was the first time ever she saw a blog. She said she didn’t know what blogging was before then, she had never heard about it until somebody referred her to Bella’s site to go and see something she wrote about her, so she went there, saw the story, the comments and liked what she saw. She said she couldn’t really remember what she posted but, it was something about her as a Nigerian based model.
From then, she started reading her blog and one day she said to herself, “I can actually live my dream, put stories together, tell people what is going on, so she created the  blog in 2006 but, really started blogging early 2007”

After graduating in 2004, Linda started her own company, Blackdove Communications. It was a modeling agency and event management company. But in 2004, after she finished from the university she started her own company but stayed within her comfort zone which was modeling so instead of being in front of the camera. She went behind the camera by running an agency, recruiting models, training models, getting jobs for models. According to her she said she still have the modeling agency but not running it anymore.
Linda Ikeji is a millionaire today; she has made it big now particularly through her blogging business where she discusses so many areas of life. She talks about naija entertainment gist, celebrity gossips, fashion, news, pictures and events and so on.
She has thousands of followers on twitter and a jot more likes on Facebook. Getting like 50,000 visits a day , from 180 countries

Her zeal and passion for excellence are saluted.
Just as not everybody will get to like you no matter how Outstanding you  are, Linda Ikeji is not without her criticism

BORN POOR IS NEVER OUR FAULT, BUT DEING POOR IS OUR FAULT ….am a ghetto child

The GETTOH TOWN is where I found my self, it’s never my fault. I was born and brought up in here. Dose that mean I will spend the rest of my life in this ghetto. "The answer is sincerely no".
Over the years I grew up in the ghetto, I get to know that some of our parents might had mad some certain mistakes or failed to had carried out some task properly that warrant their state of poverty which the children are arterially made to go through.
According to a writer he said where you are coming from is not your fault, but where you are going in life is total your task. Some of us youths have sensitive minds in such a way that we are now intimidated by the flashy things the people in the big named city had acquired, [FLASHY CARS, HOUSES, FIRM, ADORING CLOTHES, ADOLIZING SKIN COMPLETIONS AND HIGHLY ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL APPLIANCIES.
It is said that its either you are rich or poor, no middle class in the society. It is natural for us to cherish good things but, the problem is the mind-set at which we the youths does it. It is totally wrong for us to course our parents for being poor this is because as much as we are alive we have all what it takes, all the material needed to elevate the family to a more greater level.
There is no single reason why any youth who is desperate about rich or firm will not make it in life only if he/she is willing to not only work but, work along the direction God destined for them. Over the years with my little experience and observation I figured out that success is meet when you rightly work in your own path, in the sense that every individual is created for a specific PURPOSE.

The life in the ghetto had always been proven to be a challenge to uplift withstanders in all areas of God's given TALENTS, MY FELLOW ghetto youth let me enlighten you more with proven reasons to back my word in this manner. If you can take a good look at must celebrated personalities in the world by studying their personality profile you get to find out that most of them are from poor families?
I call the ghetto THE INSPIRATOR TO "I WILL DO IT YOUTHS.
If you are reading this article then you are welcome to a world of your DREAM. I have over the years read some of the PERSONALITY PROFILES, to see other people’s story. My fellow youth don't be intimidated if popular Icons in the likes of I GO DIE", BASCKET MOUTH, GOOD LUCK JONATHAN, THE C.E.O. OF PEACE MASS TRANSIST, lots and lots of the top politicians: LABARAN MAKU, if they can make it despite their poor background, then you are the only person that knows the reason why you are where you are.

"I go die's" Garri-Qiliqili moments vers his Chicken-Salad moment

“Francis Agoda popularly known as “I go die” is one of the celebrity whose story is worthy to grace our blog this time around, to help up-coming comedians who wish to be like him to note that someone had pass through  that rough path and is now celebrated....
MR. FRACIS AGODA a.k.a " i go dye"

His name Francis Agoda, but people call him “I go die”. Attended Baptist Primary School in Okpara, waterside, Delta State. When his mom found out that he could not speak Pidgin English, she insisted he should start primary school afresh which he did all over. From there, he moved to the College of Commerce, Warri. As the best technical student, who constructed a Hover that worked with battery, but since he was not even born with wooden or plastic spoon, there was no money to further his education.
At a tender age, his parent thought he would be one of the greatest engineers because anything he sees, he could construct. He also constructed Agoda satellite that received many television stations. So Agoda   hoped that money would come so that he could further his education.

How he came into comedy was far back in warri, everybody that lives in Warri is blessed with his or her mouth. And they have different ways of relating their experiences. As a Wafferian, sometimes the way they speak was comical to everyone that listened to them. Because comedy itself originated from warri and when a warri man or woman talks, you will know that this person comes from warri. Also their Pidgin English is quite different from any other in Nigeria. Our day-to-day life is also comedy, for instance, if you go to any Warri market and you price things, you will get the reply in comedy and you will be wondering why she is not polite. So when they travel outside warri like Lagos, Abuja or Kaduna, they try to relate what has been happening in warri and people will laugh. It all started when he was in the village with his grandmother. When Agoda was 16 years old, he realized that his grandmother was not his real mother, so he felt very sad.
So the first time he was in Warri, he caould not speak the normal Pidgin English that the Warri man speaks, he only spoke Urhobo that made him a laughing stock. Funnily enough, his mother had a shop in their compound and he was put in charge of the shop to sell provisions. So what do you expect from a salesman who don't know how to speak English? Comedy of course. Because a lot of people came to the shop and he could not speak simple “wetin you wan buy?” he was like a comedian to them. So the story spread around warri that there is one big boy who cannot speak simple pidgin, a real Urhobo boy. However, when he was in the College of Commerce, there was a drama club and a friend of his told him “Agoda, let us stroll into the club and see what they are doing there.” he went there and saw a guy who came out cracking jokes and he said “okay, let me just tell them one or two jokes” so he started telling them about one boy who came from the village and could not speak Pidgin English, his mother put him in a shop, they never knew he was talking about himself and they were laughing seriously. That was how he developed the interest in comedy.
"i go die and family"

The name “I go die “was gotten from his surname “AGODA”, from a royal family in Abraka. When he was in secondary school, most of his teachers, instead of pronouncing the name A-GO-DA, rather chose to call him “I-go-die”. So when he started presenting a programme on Delta State Television, he said the only way of projecting himself is to adopt the name people knew him with, that is “I-go-die”. But there is an impression he corrected  here, the “I go die” is not die, as one killing himself or saying why the boy wants to die. It is “I-go-dye”. When there is no life, I have to dye to change one thing. So it is spelt “DYE” and not “DIE” as people are wont to calling me.
His first show started in warri. When he started, he said he never believed people would pay money to watch him. And they struggled for the microphone during any event to and entertain people and at the end of the day he would use the power of the mike and say “Una no go spread this man wey de make una laugh”. But a friend of his who was organizing a birthday party said to him, “I go die, I like make –u- add some fun to this event. So he asked him how much was was his fee? “I go die” said they should pay him N100. So his first show fetched him N100. And that N100 was like millions to him because he needed the money more than any other thing. And when he got that N100, you can't believe it, he photocopied it for record purpose.
His Biggest show then was “A night of a thousand laughs”. He tried more than three times to get Opa Williams to feature him on “A night of a thousand laugh, but it was after the fourth attempt that he eventually gave him a chance. It was during the Nigeria Movies Award night that Opa spotted him on stage and said: “Men you are damned good and you will performed at the next Night of a thousand laugh”. He had since become a regular feature. So he said the biggest show that exposed him was the Nigeria Movies Award night. If he didn't have the opportunity to perform at the award night, he might probably not be known today.
“Agoda” wanted to be an Engineer. He noted that one of these days, he will go to Japan to develop his engineering talent, like charger (showing it to Sunday Sun reporter). Because it is a talent God had deposited in him.

“I go die” had made so much firm around the world with his own style of making comedy, some of his salad-chicken moment includes his “Europe  tour“ he spent up to two months in Europe doing shows. That was put together by Isaac Izera Golden Entertainment. It was an opportunity to let the Europeans understand Nigerians better because a lot of them believe Nigerians are “419”.Isaac Entertainment believes that one of the ways to clean Nigeria is through comedy. He traveled to France, Holland, Germany, Spain and Belgium. The tour also afforded him the opportunity to shoot a film entitled “Last crime”. It will be out soon. It was also in Europe that that he realized his popularity, through “A Night of thousand laugh CDs.
He is not married, but into a very serious relationship. He said “My girl friend is my microphone, and my wife is the crowd that I entertain”

Comedy had really don a lot in his life, he said he no longer queue up in the banks or embassies for money or visa. Whenever he is in a bank or an embassy, he is being called “I go die, leave the queue, come and cash your cheque or process your papers. Agoda had travel to sevral countries because of comedy. Infact, if not for comedy his story will not be on this page.
