How to avoid internet scam!!

I've received so many calls from alot of people telling me of been scammed while some are even afraid of carrying out any transaction online due to fear of being scammed. Initially, I thought they were all lying or simply exaggerating. So out of curiosity I went on Google search engine and typed the keyword " scam alert in Nigeria" I was amazed at the results I got. I saw Alot of complaints From people who have fallen victims of these so called 'scammers' After this revelation, I had to sit down and write this article. If you are reading this, I want you to do something for the sake of others that this article will help. I want you to use any of the “share it” buttons below to share this link with your friends on facebook and other sites so that this information can get passed around. With that said, let me let you know the ONE reason why a lot of people are afraid of scams and open to it. The number ONE reason is IGNORANCE. The main reason why I think alot of people are afraid of been scammed/have been scammed online is because they are ignorant about the subject. From my experience online (I have been online now since 2011), I have discovered that it is the people who are afraid of getting scammed that actually get scammed because most of the things that they call scams are not scams while the ones that they like/go for are actually the scams. What do I mean? Take myself for instance now. I can say it confidently that I have never been scammed online and the chances of me getting scammed are almost impossible. Why am I saying this? The reason is because I know exactly how online scam predators set their traps and I can sense one a mile away. And it is simple to do so really. Like you must have known on this site, I am an online marketer and when I started this career, one of the things that I had to learn was how to avoid online scams. To start with, here are the basics: 1. Do not click on any link in a mail that tells you to change any of your password or any security code. – This scam tactic is known as phishing and this is how a lot of atm codes and people’s emails are accessed. You might receive an email in your box that is said to come from GTBank for instance and the mail might go on to say, there is an attack on the GTB site by scammers and that you should go and change your ATM password on a particular site with the link included in the mail. Atimes, it might be coded to appear to come from other sites like MTN, Interswitch, GLO, UBA etc. the truth is that you MUST NEVER click on such links and never submit your details on those sites. If you do so, well, you know what will happen. 2. "Congratulations ! You just made a sale, Click here to Claim your earnings " So many of my students have called me each time they receive this type of email in their inbox. I wonder why they even paid attention to the email in the first place. Look at this scenario, you have never signed up for any affiliate program and suddenly someone sends you an email telling you , you have made a sale and therefore you should click on a link to claim your eanings. Common ! Money is not made online by magic. If money is so easy to come by online, we would all be billionaires by now. Never even pay attention to such emails again. If you truly earn a commision, its because you are affiliated to the site and when they send you a message, it would clearly indicate the sender's name. 3. If you did not request for it, it is not for you – This type of scam is the one that baffles me why most people fall for it. I wonder why it is effective. You suddenly receive an email or sms from ETISALAT telling you that you have won some N700,000 and you do not even use ETISALAT. The message goes on to tell you that you should reply with some information. Once you are foolish enough to respond to it and follow it to a stage, you might get hooked which is the aim of the scammers. From there, you might reveal your security codes or they may ask you to send some amount of money or credit. 4. This one is rather stupid but people still fall for it. – Recently, I received an email from a friend of mine. In that email, he was so excited. Somebody sent him an email from South Africa via facebook. The mail said the south African sender has an inheritance of about $45m which was left behind by his father and for him to gain access to the money, he has to find somebody from another African country to share it with before the money will be released to him. Therefore, he wants this friend of mine to share it with him and that if he is interested, he should just send a reply so that they can get started. Now, this is what yahoo guys know as formats. But think about it, somebody over there in South Africa has that much money and he has to come and pick you from nowhere in Nigeria. Talk about stupidness. This may not be the same all the time but most of them look like this. 5. This next one has to do with making payments online. If you want to make payments online and you are afraid of using your atm/credit card details so that they will not be stolen, take note of this. The first thing you want to be aware of is that when you click on page to make payments, that page must be secured and it must start with https:// the s after the http refers to SECURED and there must a padlock sign at the bottom of that window by the right side. Another thing is the URL of the site in the address bar. For instance, let’s say you are about to make orders on a site known as http://amazon.com but when you click on the make payments link, you are re-directed to a different site which has something like http://hft.ght.il/oostage/hjk.php, you must be careful. You may have been redirected to a scam site. Most of the time, in order to avoid most of these types of scams, just do not order for things on websites that are not known. 6. Don’t Pay Any Merchant Until You Have Received the Product – This one only has to do with people who buy things online and import them. there are sites where you can buy cars, electronics, laptops etc online and get them here in Nigeria. Most of the time, these sites require you to pay first before sending the item across. Most of these sites consist of different merchants who bring their stuffs to sell on a platform like this. When you are doing business through such sites, make sure you are paying through what is known as ESCROW. Escrow means a company will hold your payments and wait till you have confirmed the delivery of the products that you paid for before releasing the money to the merchant. With this, if you did not receive the product, you can simply get your money back. For now, these are the basics. In upcoming versions, I am going to let you know other types of scams and I will even be showing examples as well. If you want to check if someone is a scammer, assuming you saw an adverts on a product you would like to buy and you are not sure if that person is genuine or a scammer, there is one way to do so, just go to www.google.com And type the person’s name like this “Is Samuel Amucham A Scam” enter the person’s name in the place where my name is and click search, if the person is a scammer, surely you will see the results. So, watch out for them and remember to bookmark this page and share it with your friends

Idea rules the world

Import from China-UK-DUBIA to your door step from your phone

     ………....Hahahahahahahahaha…………interesting right………..
This aspect of my e-book will be basically on how to start a mini importation business that could be turned into a multimillion importation business here in Nigeria or otherwise
Note: most of the references in this manual are strictly base on Nigeria.
In this manual I will reveal to you the steps needed to get your goods arrive at its final destination in safe mood:
What is importation? Importation is a legal transfer of goods from one country to another.
You might ask these questions,
1.What type of goods do I import?
2.    How much can I use to start this importation business?
3.    May be this goods are fake, that's why they are cheap.
4.    But how will I clear my goods from custom duty if it arrives?
Answers:
I just listed above the likely questions that will run through your mind because it also ran through my mind when I got the information. As a proper African man it's very normal to doubt things like this because we are still a developing nation. Over there in China, America, Europe... this things have been on existence since years back.
Now let me answer the questions. Listed above;
The answer to the first question:
is for those people who wants to start a mini-importation business now, in economics there is what is called principles of economics which any successful business man needs and it is; what to produce, how to produce, whom to produce, where to produce and when to produce.
Now we are going to apply these principles practically and see what the result will
 1.    Chargers, case, earpiece, battery
2.    Brazilian hair
3.    Wrist watches
4.    Belts and wallets
5.    Jewries
6.    Clothes and shoes
They are numerous, but these are the items that one can start importing with small amount of money and sell very fast. While for those who want to import for private consumption, you can import virtually everything in the international market at wholesale prices too even if it's one item you request.

The answer to question number two is that, it is called a mini-importation biz because you can start with #10,000 or even less to import an item you can sell for #30,000 here in Nigeria....let me show you how:

I imported three female watches, 18k rose gold for $7 each and paid for shipping with UPS for $41 because I wanted it sharp-sharp because it was my first time, the total money is equals $7*3= 21, $21+$41=$62 now $62 times 162 as per the amount of dollar in naira its equals #10044 this was the amount I bought this three original female watches brand new ones. Do you know how much I sold each one? Of course not until I tell you, I sold one for 15,000, 10,000 and 8000, do the calculations yourself, this was sold within two of arrival.
I hope that question is practically answered for those who feel am hyping so as to make money.

The answer to the third question is for those who feel these items are fake that's why they are this cheap!! I quite agree with you, you have every right to think that way because I also did the same, so thank God I have taken the risk, and it's now a testimony that am giving to you.

My dear brothers and sisters, this items are made of the best qualities you can ever image, in fact they are the best, this is so because you are directly buying from the manufactures of this products and they can't destroy their reputation by producing and selling substandard products. The idea here is that different items with different quality, the higher the prize, the higher the product. What so ever you intend to purchase you will see the description of the goods, everything you need to know and when this goods gets to you and you feel you don't like it, you can return it within three days you collected it and your money is refunded back to your account.

This is shocking to hear that you will import from "OBODO AMERICA" without import duty, yes this is for real, as soon as you pay for your goods, you don't have any business with that, your goods will arrive at your door step within the specified number of days.

Good morning to the world of suprises

As youths from the lower class in the society who had seen, participated and felt the difficulties of life it became a burden in our heart to take it upon ourselves as a challenges to use the latent talents God had deposited in us to contribute our own quarter to the society.

According to John Kennedy, former president of American, he said and I quote “think of what you can do for your country and not what your country can do for you” We want to help fulfill the words of this great man by depositing all our positivity into others so as to change some certain mindsets. It is said that youths are the prosperity of every nation but how true can this be? When the youths no longer carry out activities that will bring pride to their family, nation or even the world at large it is not as if the youth are not doing positive things, but, the level of antisocial behaviors carried out by the youths are enormous, we know it might sound difficult to achieve but, we have started by taking a step to sanitize the ant-social activities of the youths in general.
“Possibility is the name of a man who tends to succeed in life”
The ugly look of things in our society in all ramifications is as a result of long term believed mentality which runs through the mindset of tender minds that our country can never be better.
“If an individual is focused he is hardly confused”
If a young person realizes his or her potentials in life at any age his mentality to wards things in every perspective changes.
“The key, to changes in our society is the realization of
Our purpose in life”
Who could believe that Nelson Mandela could fight it through and gained independent and became the first black president in South Africa following the numbers of days he spent in prison. If that could be achieved, we can do extra-ordinary.
Day and night millions of people sleep in hunger while some wine and dine with more than enough left over, some die in the hospitals because of lack of found to facilitate their treatments while others spend huge amount of money on expensive flashy cars, house, clothes and gadgets. Some time I feel like crying when I see all this but, thank God for this foundation, we promise to eliminate poverty to its beeriest minimum by maximizing all the potentials embedded in every youth.

Amaechi blocked from meeting Jonathan at presidential dinner for security reasons

The Presidency on Thursday defended  the prevention of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State from exchanging pleasantries with President Goodluck Jonathan by a security operative during dinner at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday.
It said the incident was purely a security issue that should not be politicized, especially by opposition political parties.
The governor, who was sitting two tables away from the President, had risen to greet him but the security operative attached to the President stopped him halfway.
In order not to create a scene at the event that had nearly all his colleagues and two  heads of government (Joyce Banda of Malawi and Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia) in attendance, Amaechi quietly returned to his seat and waited for  about five minutes before leaving the venue.
He invited him but refused to let him come near him. Choi! Continue reading

But as  the Action Congress of Nigeria and Congress for Progressive Change berated Jonathan over  the incident, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Dr. Ahmed Gulak,  said it was tantamount to a breach of protocol and security if Amaechi was allowed access to  his  boss  who  was already seated before the governor arrived.
Gulak  said,  “The President has a good relationship with all state governors and he meets with them regularly. The case in point is a pure security issue and it should be treated as a security issue that should not be politicised.
“The question the ACN and others who may want to politicise this issue need to ask is whether the President arrived at the venue of the dinner and was already seated before the governor arrived.
“Usual practice across the world is that once the President arrives a place, nobody whether a governor or not, is allowed entrance. That is the protocol. Even(Barack)  Obama  of the United States cannot be on his seat and a governor will be allowed to come in.
“If that was the situation in this case that the President was already on his seat,  it would have been a breach of protocol and security for any security person to allow the governor access to the President. Such a security person would have been sanctioned if he had done that.”
Wondering  why the ACN  was interested in the  matter, the presidential aide advised the opposition political parties to   “concentrate on issues concerning them and stop politicising everything.”
The ACN  had in a statement by its  National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, condemned the action of the operative and called on Jonathan to order an immediate  probe into  it.
It said, “We are making this call because we do not believe that, in spite of the reported frosty relations between the two, President Jonathan – as the father of the nation – will lend the weight of his high office to such a demeaning action as exhibited by the presidential security personnel.
“To believe that anyone occupying the esteemed office of the President of one of Africa’s most important nations will be a party to a situation in which any security aide will wilfully fence a state chief executive from paying his respect to the President at such an open gathering will be to think the worst of the occupier of that office. That is why we have chosen not to believe that this indeed occurred, and why we are calling on Mr.

President to tell Nigerians that ‘it ain’t so’ “We shudder to think of what efforts are being made – including the use of national institutions – to undermine Gov. Amaechi if the treatment reportedly meted out to him at the dinner has the approval of the powers that be. We are even more worried at what will happen to a governor from the opposition who falls out of favour with the President, if a governor from the same party as the President can be so publicly humiliated.”
ACN said it was particularly incumbent on the President to clarify the report because Amaechi, the authentic Chairman  of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum,  extended an olive branch to him  by attending the dinner, despite the fact that  he (President) was publicly supporting the losing faction of the NGF, in what was being seen as a “democratic faux pas.”
The party said the President must learn to separate politics from governance by rising above petty partisanship as he steered the affairs of state.
On its part, the Congress for Progressive Change   said it was clear to many discerning minds that “the government of President Jonathan  is being run like a mafia organisation where you have the head at the Villa.”
“This is the kind of price we pay when we sacrifice competence on the altar of exigency,” the CPC  said through its  National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin.
The party added, “We have always said it that the way President Jonathan is running this country;  he will  run it  aground.
“No Nigerian can be proud of what is happening in a situation where nations of the world are improving their democratic credentials; we are going towards further isolation.
“A situation where a chief  executive is being blocked by security apparatus of the President, you ask yourself what hope mortals like us have under the  Jonathan government.”Culled from Linda
